| Occupying over 7,500 square feet in the heart of Bethesda, this mammoth pub accommodates up to 400 people either dining or socializing at the bar. The size makes it one of Bethesda’s largest evening entertainment venues and features three rooms. It is also as a great place to watch your favorite teams with 17 televisions. Union Jack’s offers NFL and College football games with both the Sunday Ticket and College Gameday. They will also feature European Soccer matches.
The front room, with 25-foot ceilings, is inspired by Piccadilly Circus in London. This room has a large mahogany bar, DJ booth, a Big Ben replica clock and an 8-foot drop down large screen TV screen showing various sporting events.
A second room features the main dining room and bar. Located just off the Circus, the décor is based on the Harry Potter bar, “The Leaky Cauldron”, and features pre-Victorian London wharf elements. A stone fireplace, cobblestone floor, and heavy timber make for a warm and inviting dinner or cocktail environment. The fireplace and lounge area is also ideal for taking in your favorite match on one of two 48-inch plasma ‘tellys’.
After an evening of “Pub and Grub”, how about relaxing in the Billiard and Dart Parlor? This third room allows the ‘lads and lasses’ to let off a little competitive steam on one of six pool tables or watch a sporting event on one of 10 televisions.
Union Jack’s will serve a full lunch and dinner menu of traditional English pub fare as well as time-honored American restaurant cuisine. The menu will include appetizers such as Queen Elizabeth Chips (fries with vinegar); Jack Burgers, Bangers n’ Mash, Shepherds Pie, Fish & Chips, Salads, Pizza, as well as a children’s menu.
